"WHAT A GREAT EVENT!"
Our inaugural Cosmo-Sport Track Event & Go Fast Motorcars Meet was a huge success! After a heavy mid-day downpour the rain had stopped, skies cleared and the stars shined to provide a beautiful evening for all. We had a GREAT turnout with just under 100 smiling faces at the track with us for a night of cars, conversation and, of course, DRIVING!!
Marques Madness!Earlier in the afternoon the Cosmo-Sport Track Event participants began tearing up the track while the sun was shining. Around 6:30PM all of the Go Fast Motorcars Car Meet participants began rolling in, and what a line up of cars it was! Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Lotus, Rossion, Mercedes, Ginetta, Mosler - you name it, it was there! All of the car meet participants were greeted with cars blazing on the track, a display of modern and current race cars in the paddock and a tasty dinner for all, while evening hosts Guy Cosmo and John Greco welcomed everyone and described the evenings plans.
VIP HospitalityJust after dinner the Track Event participants took a break and all the Car Meet participants lined up in their cars for a track tour behind Guy Cosmo in the Cosmo-Sport 'GT3-KILR' Porsche Cayman S Turbo. After two laps of casual 'cruising' around the track, the pace picked up and everyone had the chance to stretch their car's legs on the long back straight at PBIR and enjoy a little tire squeal through the corners.
For many, it was their first time on track - ever! Just afterwards, Cosmo-Sport Track Event participants got back on track to commence the fun in their own cars and continue with their professional driving instruction from Cosmo-Sport's pro racers.
Track TourAs a surprise treat for all the Car Meet participants, Cosmo-Sport pro instructors gave hot laps to the participants in their own cars to give them a taste of driving at speed around PBIR's 2-mile road course, and show them just how well their cars would perform on track behind the hands of a professional driver.
As John Greco from Go Fast Motorcars reported, many comments heard afterwards were:
"Wow...That was amazing!"......"Oh My God, Incredible!"......"Man, That was awesome!".
I'd like to personally thank all of you who attended and helped make the evening a fun, safe and wonderful event. I'd also like to thank our supporters and partners from the evening: John Greco and Go Fast Motorcars and RJ Hunt from MySmokinRide.com.
This was an experimental event for us, and I think we'd all agree that more like this in the future would be a great idea!
